My name is Evelyn, and I'm a 74-year-old mom and grandma. I'm lucky enough to have a wonderful family that fills my life with joy. But I'm also fortunate to have found a passion that keeps me young at heart: reading.
I've always loved to read, but it wasn't until I retired that I had the time to really indulge myself. I can now spend hours lost in a good book, transported to other worlds and times. It's a wonderful way to escape the everyday and explore new ideas.
Reading has also helped me to connect with my grandchildren in a special way. I love sharing my favorite books with them, and it's amazing to see how their imaginations soar as they listen to the stories.
But my love of reading isn't just limited to books. I also enjoy writing, and I've recently started a blog where I share my thoughts on books, life, and everything in between. It's a great way to connect with other people who share my passion for reading.
I'm also passionate about giving back to my community. I volunteer weekly with my therapy dog at a local hospital, where we visit sick children. It's a rewarding experience that brings me great joy.
I believe that it's never too late to find your passion. Whether it's reading, writing, volunteering, or something else, I encourage you to explore your interests and find what makes you happy. Life is too short to not do what you love.
